About Nosy Be and Bossi Island Adventures:

For Northwestern Madagascar, we have structured 6 fishing day (8 days including flights and transfers) fully inclusive Jigging & Popping expeditions together with Bossi Island Adventures. These trips with Jigstar Africa are specifically focussed on Jigging & Popping. The reasons we refer to these trips as expeditions are that this whole area is largely unexplored! It’s pristine,  and most importantly there is very little fishing pressure. Few boats can reach these remote fishing grounds.

These waters have a large variety of fishing grounds to choose from, with large banks and drop offs ranging from 20m to 1000m. It is no wonder that such a large variety of fish species are being caught in these waters, fish ranging from your bus GT, huge Dogtooth Tuna to the mighty Marlin can be found.

For the more challenging and daring angler, the outer banks of Castor, Voltigeur and Leven bank situated 50 miles out and stretching more than 5 times the length of Nosy-Be, is a sure must. Due to large tidal ranges the currents are strongly affected forcing large schools of fish to concentrate on these drop offs making these spots ideal for vertical jigging, drop shot, live baiting. This is sure to exceed ones expectations and leave the angler with sore arms, amazing memories and a lot of great fish.

Low fishing pressure from the locals as well as the more difficult to access fishing spots North and South of Nosy Be means that one does not have to venture far to find large quantities of pelagic and reef fish.

As a result of these natural underwater worlds, anglers can expect to produce numbers exceeding 25 species, including some trophy GTs and Monster Doggies, with strong probabilities of Billfish including Sailfish and Marlin.

Our Mothership, and home for 7 nights is Yacht Adiva (a luxury 53' Royal Cape Catamaran - the Flagship of Bossi' Fleet) providing the ultimate in live-aboard experience. Crewed by a team of seasoned professionals, comfort and exclusivity is assured, and all meals are exotic being prepared on-board by a Swiss trained chef!

Our fishing platform for 6 full days is Joz-Joz, a 38' Supercat Sportfisher. Joz-Joz is also Skippered by a highly professional Skipper and his knowledge of these waters, fishing grounds, target species, their behaviour and local weather systems is impressive.

Few people have been privileged to fish or dive here, and those who have are over-awed and continue to return here multiple times per year! This destination has featured on numerous television shows locally in the last year, and all presenters have been unanimous in singing it's praises! Definitely a "need to visit Jig 'n Pop destination" for serious and discerning anglers
